Leadership Training and Student Management (LKMM) held by Student Affairs Bureau University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was a moment to improve leadership skill and networking for student activists and leaders of UMM. This activity presented some people of the nation and was held for three days (25-27/11).
They are a member of President Advisory Council, Abdul Malik Fadjar, former Deputy Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly, Hajriyanto Y Thohari, UMM Rector Fauzan, special staff of Ministry of Culture and Education Republic of Indonesia Nasrullah, Vice Chairman of Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM) of East Java Nur Cholis Huda, and media consultant Anwar Hudijono
On this event, Malik Fadjar talked about statehood and nationality issues that should be identified earlier by students. He said, “Students should be able to read the situation and social dynamics situation of the nation, because you all will lead this country in the next five to ten years”.
Students were not only got materials in classrooms, but also outside by joining outbond activity guided by Psychology Team of UMM. The outcomes of this event are to form students’ creativity in organizing their selves individually or in groups. (lus)
