In order to make a good relationship with new students’ parents, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) invited the parents of UMM new students who are from all over Indonesia to come to UMM Dome to have a nice talk with UMM Rector on Friday (31/8).
In his speech, Fauzan as the Rector, welcomed them to UMM which is one of the best universities in East Java. He revealed that in 2018, the numbers of new students significantly increased. “There were 19.000 registrants and we only accepted 7.500 of them”. UMM is continuously giving the best facilities for the students. Fauzan convinced the parents that there are various programs to educate good graduates, one of them is UMM Pasti. UMM Pasti is a program which requires students only need 3.5 to 4 years to graduate. Fauzan said, “I guarantee that your children will graduate in 4 years”.
Considering the career of the students in this millenial era, the Rector initiated UMM Pasti, which means Pasti Lulus 4 Tahun (Syrely Graduate I 4 Years), Pasti Bekerja (Surely Get a Job), and Pasti Mandiri (Surely Become Independent). Through this program, Fauzan is sure that UMM graduates are able to compete with others even before they finish their study. (lus)
