Thursday Reading Car (KaCa Car) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) once again visited Class IIA Women's Penitentiary (Lapas), Sukun, Malang. At least around 50 Penitentiary Residents (WBP) are very enthusiastic in participating in the material and training practices of Barista and Product Photography classes, Thursday (5/3).

The Penitentiary Residents were very concerned about the material provided by Rino Anugrawan, who was also a photographer at various UMM activities and events. "The art of taking pictures of products that we want to sellmust be about the products, their functions and uses. Then, the angle of the photo must be adjusted to the existing lighting,"he explained. Indeed the art of photographing products or food requires a 'story' so that photos appear to bealive.

"The penitentiary residents actually have their own products, such as handcraft. However, to sellit in online media, we do not understand how to photograph productsto bemore interesting. So that the presence of KaCa Car canmake everyonelearn new experiences,"said Maria as manager of Penitentiary Creativity Development. Fostered residents are also given the opportunity to take pictures as provisions that will be useful when they are already out of prison.

In addition to the Product Photography class, there is also a Barista class that presented by Helmi Mahendra as the owner of the Rogas Coffee Shop and the Becak Kopi Keliling (Koling) as speakers. "Making coffee now is not just making it, but, at this time, many people see opportunities and prospects from the business sector," said Helmi who is also a student of UMM Indonesian Language and Literature Education Department.

Barista's class activities will also be in line with the plan to be made by Hamlana Riska Achmad Effendy, as Manager of Penitentiary Personality Management. Hamlana saidthat later, the Penitentiary would make a business such as a canteen, with the name "SAE" which stands for Assimilation and Education Facilities which were run bythepenitentiary residents. KaCa Car activities are very effective to increase the prisoners knowledge.

"With the UMMKaCa Car, it really helped us to increase the activities of penitentiary citizens by holding classes and training. In addition, we also borrow the reading books provided by KaCa Car to support literacy activities in the Penitentiary. Because the level of interest in reading books of thepenitentiary residents is classified as very good,"said Hamlana. (joh)
