The New General Chairman and General Secretary of Muhammadiyah Central Board

ON the 5^th day of the Makassar 47^th Muhammadiyah Congress (Thursday, 6/8), the inaugural assembly of the 13 Muhammadiyah Chairmen has decided that the new 2015-2020 General Chairmen is Dr. H. Haedar Nashir, M.Si replacing the former official, Prof. Dr. Din Syamsudin, MA and the new General Secretary is Dr. H. Abdul Mu'thi, M.Ed replacing Agung Danarto.

After the final election, there was held plenary session to inaugurate the General Chairmen and Secretary. Unanimously, all the participants agreed that Haedar Nashir and Abdul Mu’thi are the official General Chairman and General Secretary of Muhammadiyah Central Board 2015-2020. Meanwhile, the 13 Muhammadiyah Chairmen will hold another assembly to decide their placements. It is expected that these new leaders are capable to lead the Muhammadiyah Association to be a more progressive and meaningful organization for Islam, society and Indonesia.(ytn/t_far)
