Engaged in dance since she entered elementary school, Nadila Parastuti, a student of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), won the title of Mbakyu favourite Malang city 2022. This student from Malang reached the grand final of the top ten, competing with nine other finalists.
Dila, as she is known, said that she performed a collaboration between modern and traditional dance at the event. His passion for this dance started from his mother's suggestion to participate in various fields to foster self-confidence. "My parents have trained me to be confident since childhood. One is through competitions such as quizzes, modelling, and dance. But what I like most is dancing. That's why I continue to do it until now," said the 2001-born student.
This Communication Science student said he never expected to become Mbakyu's Favorite. This is because this is Dila's first time participating in pageant activities. At the beginning of the competition, Dila was also pessimistic when she saw that other participants had more experience in the pageant field.
"Initially, I was not interested in pageants. However, my friends' support motivated me to try it. Moreover, parents are also very supportive. Even with UMM, which always facilitates its students to increase their potential," he said.

In addition, the preparation of costumes and talents will be displayed. “The most important thing is health. Even though I was sick and dizzy during the grand final, I am grateful that I could go through it very well,” said Dila.
He also has to be brilliant at sorting and dividing the time because of his busy activities. In addition to participating in the Kakang Mbakyu contest, he has to go to college and do freelance work and organization. Luckily, she could organize and communicate well, so there were clear understandings.

"For me, being Malang's Favorite Mbakyu 2022 is an unforgettable new experience. I want other students also to try many things while still young. Don't be pessimistic about things that haven't happened. Always be optimistic and try," she ended. (cdr/syi/wil)
