THE RECTOR of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Prof. Dr. Muhadjir Effendy, MAP in General Lecture of Freshmen’s Orientation held at BAU Hall UMM on Saturday (29/8) stated that UMM Postgraduate Program is ready to get standardized internationally.
In front of 358 postgraduate students, he informed that UMM has conducted benchmarking with several universities; among others are Malaysia and China.
“Now we are measuring our quality by comparing it with better universities from abroad in order to see how far we are left behind, so that we can revamp and gain an equal quality”, he said.
The Director of Postgraduate Program Dr. Latipun M.Kes said that the UMM Postgraduate Programs has already implemented the international standard of curriculum. “Hopefully, the students will graduate on time and contribute to society soon,” he expected.
UMM Postgraduate has 10 master programs; they are Master of Management, Master of Sociology, Master of Islamic Studies, Master of Agribusiness, Master of Education Policy, Master of Law, Master of Psychology, Master of Indonesian Language and Literature, Master of Mathematic Education and Master of English Education; and 3 doctoral programs; they are Doctoral of Social and Political Science, Doctoral of Islamic Education and the newest one, Doctoral of Agriculture.
