Every commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas), University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) always gives appreciation to every employee and lecturer who has a good record. One of them is Sukam, S.T., from the work unit of the Law and Civil Service Bureau. He was appointed as an outstanding education staff in 2019.
In the beginning, Sukam was submitted by his unit to become an outstanding employee candidate. Then he was asked to make a description of himself and collect other administrative details. "at the first pessimists will not enter. In fact, when the announcement came in. Alhamdulillah, "said Sukam when met at his office (7/5).
Not without reason, Sukam is the founder and creator of the Management Information System of Officialdom administration (SIMKEP). This system facilitates the monitoring and staffing process. At first, this system was made to simplify the work. "Those who are handled by thousands need a good and integrated system," he explained.

The system was finally adopted by UMM and was used to facilitate the work process of administering employees. This system was pioneered since eight years ago when he was working on his free time. "Basically, it really likes tinkering," he said. The system was built slowly. In the end, it became a complete system.
Besides Sukam, other UMM educational staff who performed well were Dewi Sulistiyowati, S.T. from the Faculty of Engineering, Arianto Permadi, S.P. from the Bureau of Academic Administration, Sri Haryati, Amd. Kep. from Nursing Institute, Shobbah Sabilil M., from the Infocom Institute, and Zulkifli Agusta F., S.Kom.I from the Lab. Communication.
Meanwhile, the list of outstanding lecturers was from the Faculty of Economics and Business, ranked I by Dr. Ihyaul Ulum, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA. (Accounting Department) and ranked II by Dr. Widayat, SE., MM. (Management Department), and Risa Herlianita, S.Kep, Ns., MSN. From the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing is ranked III.
Besides that, special awards to lecturers in four categories. They were the owner of the most Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Prof. Ishomudin, the publication of textbooks and motivator student writer Nurudin, M.Sc, renewable energy developer Ir. Wignyo, M.T., and an inspiration and motivator for creative and innovative works of student Jamroji, M.Sc.
On the occasion of becoming the Hardiknas Inspector's ceremony on 2 May, UMM Rector Dr. Fauzan advised, all UMM academics must emit positive energy, must build strength that has positive resonance. "Both the resonance is regional, national, even international," said Fauzan.
Fauzan also invited all the participants of the ceremony attended by Elementary School students, Kids on Campus day lecture participants, to continue to innovate. "Because, if we don't innovate, we will die. For UMM, there must be something new. Not only every year but also every month," he said. (Win)
