The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) continues collaborating and building relationships. Recently, UMM has collaborated with several government institutions to increase its network in the national sphere. On November 28th, UMM collaborated with the Lembaga Ketahanan Nasional (Lemhannas) (trans: National Resilience Institute) to strengthen the national values training and enhancing program.
"Understanding national values is very important, including in the educational sphere. Therefore, this collaboration is a way for us to strengthen that value, both at the national and international levels," said the Head of Cooperation and Legal Bureau of Lemhannas Brigadier General, Raja Erjan H.S. Girsang, S.E., M.M., M.Sc.
Several programs have been initiated. These include improving national values through education of the academic community, organized discussions, and information exchange on current issues. It involves studying national and international issues—for example, the ongoing dispute between Palestine and Israel.

"We are also prepared for UMM academics who need special training to be successful and educate the golden generation," he added.
Girsang mentioned the program's implementation, such as training trainers under the direct supervision of Lemhannas. The goal is to prepare future generations by strengthening their mentality and national values to produce superior human beings. Then, it can also answer the challenges of the future skillfully.

" Lemhannas has collaborated with various agencies, companies and other parties several times. It is our effort to strengthen national defence and state integrity. If all collaborations go well, it will create a nationalistic-minded educational environment, especially for the Golden Indonesia 2045. Thus, we can help each other create the first door to reach it," he said.
"We believe our collaboration with UMM will provide interesting and beneficial things, especially with UMM's progress that has been widely done. Hopefully, the program we create can provide a breakthrough in the field of national resilience," Girsang concluded. (*tri/wil/put
