In addition to the Car of Kamis Membaca (KaCa), the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was increasingly active give benefits to the community. At the beginning of 2019, UMM once again released its newest program, the Mobile Cinema or Bioling Car.
The car grant from the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbud RI) will travel especially to all corners of East Java, also to a number of regions in Indonesia to present spectacle and educational guidance.
Film screenings through this big-screen aimed to provide information about culture related to local culture. The community was invited to get to know various films that had educational and cultural values through a big screen.
The Muhammadiyah Pakisaji Orphanage in Malang Regency was the first destination for Bioling. The drizzle did not dampen the enthusiasm of Pakisaji residents to attend the event as well as the launch of the UMM Bioling Car. Residents around packed up the courtyard of the orphanage on Saturday (1/12).
Rozy as the board member of the Orphanage said he was happy with the presence of the Bioling Car to his orphanage. "It was the first time there was a movie screen that wanted to come all the way from Malang to educate orphanage children about the film," he said.
"I am grateful to UMM who wants to come here, because children who want to go to the cinema are far away, also expensive," Rozy said. In addition to providing the latest films, Bioling also provided films made by UMM students themselves.
Mohammad Isnaini as Secretary of UMM Public Relations and Protocol said that he thanked the residents and the children of the orphanage who had been willing to come and allow them to launch at the Muhammadiyah Pakisaji Orphanage.
He said, not everyone had the opportunity to go to the movies. "UMM will play a role in educating and serving people who do not have the opportunity to go to the cinema to know Indonesian films," he said.
In the future, continued Isnaini, such as the coverage of the KaCa Car, Bioling will target special places to come to the wider community. Like correctional institutions, nursing homes, and other special places.
Through the KaCa Cars, Bioling Cars, and other interesting concepts, UMM wanted to give a benefit to the wider public. Some of these actions, continued Isnaini, were a real activity of UMM's service to the community.
"Because it provides education with entertainment concepts to the disadvantaged people are very necessary. UMM wants to continue to take a role in educating the public without excluding anyone, "he said. (Win)
