The Moment of Introduction to New Student Studies (Pesmaba) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was used for a green campaign. From the university level to the level of Department was encouraged to campaign to reduce the use of plastic and other waste. In the official UMM account @ummcampus, a Photo Contest competition was held by hashtag #DietSampahPlastik and #DimulaidariKamu.
The competition was started on Monday (1/9) and closed on Friday (5/9). The new students were asked to upload photos while doing well for the environment in the Instagram feed. The photo was taken at UMM during pesamaba activities. In addition, photos also had to be accompanied by attractive captions and hashtag #DietSahlatPlastik, #DimulaidariKamu, and # PesamabaUMM2019. Favourite winners would get the most likes.

For example In FISIP, by giving tumblers, all committees invited new students to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles and also to be wiser in using plastic. In addition, the committee also provided garbage bags at several points around the location. This campaign was as an event to care for the environment and foster awareness of the use of plastic.
Not only activity of using a tumbler and throwing trash in its place, On the opening agenda, the colossal action of the flash mob formation of new students was also carried out without using paper or commonly called paper mob. The gradation of colour that appeared, came from the attributes inherent in the body. For example alma mater jacket, white clothes, and hats. This flash-mob configuration produced a number of beautiful formations.

Some of the formations were the logo of 48th Muhammadiyah Congress Conference, the 74th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme; Good human Resources, Advanced Indonesian, and the formation of a sketch of UMM Gedung Kuliah Bersama (GKB) 1. Specifically, this flash mob was dedicated to welcome the 48th grand annual Muhammadiyah Congress. The conference was held from 1 to 5 July 2020 which was located at UMS Surakarta. (Win)
