Great news came from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FTTE), University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). This time, the UMM Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) (trans: Teacher Professional Education) Study Program successfully became one of those who received the title of the best PPG Program organizer in Indonesia from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. The award certificate was received in early August.
This award is a result of the hard work of the UMM PPG team. It is proven by the percentage of graduates, which is always the highest in 2018-2022. The award was given directly by the Subcoordinator of MI and MTs Teacher Development of Direktorat Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan (GTK) (trans: the Directorate of Teachers and Education Personnel ) of the Ministry of Religion, Mustofa Fahmi to the Dean of FTTE UMM Dr. Trisakti Handayani, M.M.
On the same occasion, Fahmi and the UMM PPG team discussed several programs that were being and would be implemented. He also appreciated the White Campus for successfully maintaining consistency in organizing PPG.
"From 2018 to 2022, UMM has always ranked at the top for Uji Kompetensi Mahasiswa PPG (UKM-PPG) (trans: the PPG Student Competency Test) pass rate. This certainly illustrates how the commitment of PPG FTTE UMM in organizing quality PPG consistently. We really appreciate that," Fahmi said.
Trisakti said the award had been received since last May at the joint coordination meeting with Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKIN) (trans: Islamic Religious Universities). FTTE UMM is one of Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan Umum (LPTK Umum) (trans: the General Education Personnel Education Institutions), which was specially invited along with UIN Bandung and UIN Yogyakarta. However, she was unable to attend and was finally given this August.
She was also grateful for this achievement. For her, this award motivates her to continue improving, especially in creating professional teachers in Indonesia. "Of course this is not the end of the struggle, but it is a motivation for us to improve our quality in producing the best teachers.
