Proud news again came from students of the Civic Education (PKN) study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Amelia Salsaba Anatasya, a student of the Civic Education program at Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM), has achieved the title of Putri Nusantara Jawa Timur (Miss Archipelago East Java) for the year 2023. At that event, she presented an online learning media innovation through a website showcasing the beauty of natural attractions in remote areas for the community, especially teenagers. The work program she brought was called Jelajah Nusantara (Explore the Archipelago).
Bella, her nickname, said that currently, teenagers use gadgets for a long time but are only used to play games or social media. This moved her to change their habits with more useful gadget usage.
Presenting an article combined with pictures and interesting language is the solution he offers. That way, teen literacy can increase. Not only that, Bella also presents footage of natural beauty in articles, on TikTok and Instagram. "Teenagers are the main target because of the gadgets that are rarely separated from their grasp. They are also the nation's successors, who are responsible for protecting the earth," she said.
Furthermore, Bella has presented six beautiful natural attractions in her articles and on social media. Among them are Coban Nirwana located in Malang, Kedung Cinet in Jombang, Ranu Manduro in Mojokerto, Candi Rimbi in Jombang, Purwodadi Botanical Garden in Pasuruan, and Padusan Hot Spring in Pacet.
"I am very excited to implement it directly through the program I created at Putri Nusantara East Java. Knowledge of our natural wealth is important to foster a sense of love for the country in teenagers," she said.

According to her, the jury was interested in her innovation because it was able to introduce remote tourism to the community. Her innovation can also be a medium of learning for the younger generation to foster a sense of love for the country. Bella also said that during the jury's assessment, she could explain the questions clearly because they were related to the material in her lecture class.
"The innovation that I offer can captivate the judges because of my public speaking skills. The main key during judging is confidence and the delivery of work programs interestingly and clearly. I got this skill through the organization that I joined at UMM and actively volunteering in various activities," she said.
Furthermore, her success in becoming Putri Nusantara East Java made her willpower strong. She will continue her career as a princess as the Indonesian Education Youth Ambassador. She said that she wants to bring an innovation that can help realize Indonesia Emas 2045.
"UMM campus supports and appreciates every level of my career, starting with materials, costs, and facilities that help me grow continuously. As a result, I am more enthusiastic and confident about building my career by learning to take as much knowledge as possible at UMM," she concluded. (*ri/wil/fajr)
