At least 47 manufacturing and service companies Malang and Surabaya enlivened the Job Fair at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Tuesday (3/5), at the UMM BAU Auditorium. Supported by the Manpower Office, UMM was the only university in Malang that had a Special Employment Exchange (BKK).
Dr.Fien Zulfikarijah, MM. as the person in charge of the event stated, this event was a routine activity of the Student and Alumni Career Development Unit (PKMA) which started from a career lecture, it was Career and Entrepreneurship courses (KWU). Furthermore, students will be directed to become Job Creators or Job Seekers.
"If you become a job seeker, students will be given materials on how to apply for a job, make curriculum vitae and related matters and be held for one semester. Meanwhile, KWU lectures form students to become providers of jobs or job creators, "Fien said.

In addition, the follow-up ceremony of the graduation ceremony some time ago was primarily looking for opportunities for new graduates looking for job luck. "This is a means for us to introduce the company to those who have just graduated and the event to recruit the best graduates," said Smartfren HRD, Sony Purbowo.
During the event was not only from UMM students and alumni who tried their luck. At least there were job applicants from outside UMM. One of them was Gandi Indika Affandi, a Sociology student from Universitas Brawijaya who was looking for info on career vacancies in the trainee management field.
"I joined in looking for vacancies at the UMM Job Fair because it provided a lot of company listings. Moreover, it fulfils my needs who are looking for career vacancies in the trainee management field. Hopefully, I will be fortunate to get my dream job at this Job Fair, "said Gandi who passed last December 2018. (Win)
