The Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Prof. Dr. Haedar Nashir, M.Si, emphasized that the economy is a key factor in building a developed and stable nation. He highlighted that Muhammadiyah has long regarded the economy as an integral part of its movement.

Furthermore, Haedar explained that the seven elements of culture, including the economy, serve as the foundation of a high civilization. Therefore, Muhammadiyah must strengthen its economic system and not hesitate to take bold steps for the welfare of the people. He emphasized that economic management should embrace the spirit of capitalism while remaining grounded in Islamic values to promote independence and social justice. Muhammadiyah remains committed to developing business ventures that are not solely profit-oriented but also generate widespread benefits for society.

“Muhammadiyah continues to play a greater role in shaping a sustainable economic ecosystem. Through a systemic and strategic approach, it can become a leading force in building the economic independence of the ummah. Therefore, all elements of Muhammadiyah, including business enterprises, universities, and Islamic economic communities, must continue to innovate and collaborate,” he stated.

Also in attendance was Imam Hartono, Director of the Department of Sharia Economics and Finance at Bank Indonesia, representing the Governor of Bank Indonesia. He discussed the strategic role of Bank Indonesia in supporting Indonesia's sharia economic ecosystem and emphasized the importance of managing Muhammadiyah's business enterprises, particularly in the health and education sectors, as a key aspect of optimizing the Islamic economy.

“Bank Indonesia has been a key partner of Muhammadiyah in advancing the Islamic economic ecosystem in Indonesia. From 2017 to 2024, we have collaborated to empower 363 Islamic boarding schools across the country, support the fisheries sector, promote modernization, and strengthen women's communities. This underscores the importance of cross-sector synergy in enhancing the people's economy,” he stated.
