Muslims must deeply understand the values of faith and piety of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail. This was emphasized by the Sharia Council of the Waqf Empowerment Council of the Central Leadership of Muhamadiyah Dr. H. Ari Anshori, M.Ag. in the Eid al-Adha khutba at Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM). The prayer was held on June 28, 2023, and attended by thousands of jamaah.

According to Anshori, Eid al-Adha's momentum should be used to increase the sense of sincerity, sharing, and togetherness among the community. Many people need to realize that these things are present during Qurbani.

"People who were previously preoccupied with personal activities such as work, are now united, gathered, and worked together during the Eid prayer, slaughtering, and meat distribution process. The implied value of this has a big impact on the social condition of the community," he explained.

He continued, Eid al-Adha is an important day. It reminds Muslims of Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to slaughter his son Ismail in obedience to Allah's command. Some of the good points that can be taken care of are our obedience to Allah's orders, steadfastness to Allah's fate, tawakal, and confidence in Allah's decree.

In addition, as a khatib, he advised all jamaah not to waste time. Reflect on each other based on Surah Al-Asr, which emphasizes the importance of managing time. This impacts the results seen in this world and the hereafter.

"Allah has sworn by time in Surah Al-Asr. This oath is not trivial; time is always running and will never turn back. The time is not necessarily the time in this world, but also the time in the hereafter. Let's optimize it by praying to Allah," he said.

On behalf of the leadership, UMM Vice Rector II Dr. Nazaruddin Malik, M.Si., also gave his speech. He said that UMM not only held sacrificial animal slaughter on campus. But also distributes it to the community, for example, by sending dozens of livestock to villages around Malang Raya. This is a form of Kampung Putih's direct service to the community.

The UMM Eid al-Adha Committee Chairman, Ary Bachtiar SP, M.Si, also conveyed the same. He explained that the target distribution of livestock was not limited to Muhammadiyah circles but also the wider community, for example, by sending one cow each to the Class IIA Women's Correctional Institution Malang and Class I Correctional Institution Malang.

"The response from the community is also positive and they are grateful to receive more attention. Of course, one of our goals is to help and spread our da'wah to the community," he concluded. (Put/Faq/Wil)
