DOME is fire extinguisher robotic owned by Robotic team University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Dome competed in Indonesia robotic contest (KRI) 2018 at Graha Polytechnic State of Malang (Polinema).
In the qualifying match in Regional IV consisting of Eastern Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Maluku, and Papua, DOME has high accuracy and stable speed, so it won the 1st place on Indonesian Fire Extinguisher Robot (KRPAI). DOME beaten up 32 contestants from other universities.
Next, Robotic UMM Team is preparing to compete in National level by increasing the speed and the accuracy of DOME. The robotic team leader, Alfan Achmadillah Fauzi stated that there are many evaluations that have to be done by the team. Alfan said, “We cannot relax although we already won in that competition. We have to be more solid so that we can win competition”.
After passing three stages in KRI 2018 Regional IV, Robotic UMM team and other 24 teams will compete nationally on July. Nur Alif Mardiyah as the trainer of Semi-Autonomous institution (LSO) Robotics UMM said that Robotic UMM Team is ready to compete in National level. Alf said, “We have to get ready to achieve more achievements”.
UMM won over two state universities which were State Electronic Polytechnic of Surabaya (PENS) as the second winner and Brawijaya University as the third winner. Moreover, UMM team will compete in Indonesian Soccer Wheeled Robot Contest (KRSBI)
