UMM Hospital Launches The Covid-19 Call Center Service

Malang Raya and surrounding communities now didn’t have to worry anymore about the information on the development of the Covid-19 outbreak in East Java. The General Hospital (RSU) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) provided the convenience services for the general public to find out the development and information about Covid-19 around them through The Covid-19 Call Center of University of Muhammadiyah Malang Hospital.
 
“Covid-19 Call Center of UMM Hospital is the front line from hospital to respond to the public curiosity about the development of Covid-19 case, as well as to get notified about their conditions,” said dr. Thontowi Djauhari, M.Kes., The Coordinator of Covid-19 Response Team of UMM Hospital, Thursday (19/3).

Covid-19 Call Center of UMM Hospital arranged 2 information channels, Call Center and message sending, both through WA (WhatsApp) and other cellular telephones. The society could choose one of the provided channels.
 
People could access the Covid-19 Call Center Sevice of UMM Hospital in three numbers, viz, 0821 3253 1661/1663/1664. The Covid-19 Call Center Sevice of UMM Hospital now operated from Monday to Sunday on service hours from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.
 
“The public can air the question about the latest information about the Covid-19 spread, and get notification about themselves by questioning what the symptoms and the risk factors are.” explained dr. Thontowi.
 
The questions that could be asked to screen online or WA (WhatsApp) could be about the symptoms experienced. Like coughing, runny nose, sore throat, headache, fever more than 38°, until originating or traveling to the infected areas both in Indonesia and abroad.
 
“So, the public shouldn’t be panic and worried! By calling the UMM Hospital Covid-19 Call Center, your worries are solved,” stated dr. Thontowi.
 
Besides providing the Call Center, UMM Hospital supplied an online Covid-19 early detection through the domain address at hospital.umm.ac.id/covid/. Online early detection could be utilized by the public. User (The User) needed to answer some of the provided questions and the answer results were then analyzed online to surmise the status in the categories: healthy/free Covid-19, ODP (Insider Monitoring) or PDP (Patient Under Monitoring).

On its 2 days launching, since 18 March 2020, early detection of Covid-19 online had been accessed more than fifty thousand times (update 19 March 2020). (adq)
