Safari Ramadhan UMM, Enjoying the Pleasure of Life

Assistant Recor for Islamic and Muhammadiyah Affairs, Dr. Abdul Haris spoke up about the principles in implementing Islamic-based work culture

It is not a matter how long you are working, but how serious you mean your work. Khidmat means working seriously and sincerely. Safari Ramadhan held by University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) must be followed by all lecturers, staffs, and part-timers for three days starting from Monday to Wednesday (21-23/5). The Assistant Rector for Islamic and Muhammadiyah, Dr.Abdul Haris revealed that there are five principles to live Islamic work culture at UMM, which are my work is my worship, my work is for other people, my work is my reflection as a Moslem, and my achievement is for the development of Moslem and Islam.

Haris said, “Then, say to yourself that my work is for my life in the world and my hereafter”. Therefore, Haris expected that all academic communities at UMM can be loved by Allah. Allah loves the ones who always try to be better, do good to others, say sorry if they make mistakes, istighfar, and always be grateful. Hais added, “We avoid doing bad things”.

Safari Ramadhan is a part of Syiar Ramadhan which is held during Ramadhan 1439 Hijriyah this year. there are also another agendas such as Mosque Shining Night, Reading Holy Quran, Dialog across generations, Baitul Arqam, and Social Activities. (lus)
