One of the places that can be visited and supports health is the Sengkaling Container Gym, owned by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). Located within Sengkaling Recreation Park, this gym center provides various facilities for the convenience of visitors.
Yeni Dwi Kurniawati, the Marketing Coordinator of Sengkaling UMM, said Container Gym is always ready to help anyone who wants to improve their physical fitness. Even with efforts to maintain body shape and burn excess fat. The gym is equipped with complete fitness equipment and accompanied by mentors who are ready to help.
"So, mentors are prepared to guide visitors using various tools. It is certainly a form of our efforts to prevent unwanted injuries. The mentors can also direct various movements according to the visitors' goals," he said.
There is also an aerobic exercise that is carried out regularly. According to her, this exercise helps maintain heart health and stamina, even by preventing lousy cholesterol in the body. Interestingly, the members can also enjoy sauna facilities to relax muscles and avoid pain and restore muscles.
All facilities are equipped with Zumba and swimming. To get it, visitors only need to become members by spending Rp. 150,000 for the general public and Rp. 115,000 for UMM residents. Then, the monthly fee is IDR 100,000. Even if you want to work out for one day, it's only IDR 25,000 daily.
Even though it was closed for two months due to the pandemic, Sengkaling Gym is back with extra health protocols. The equipment is also always disinfected, making it safer and more hygienic for customers. It has even become an SOP that has a positive impact.
