Once again, the academic community of Muhammadiyah Malang University (UMM) has achieved success. At this time, UMM Rector Prof. Nazaruddin Malik, M.Si. won the award as a figure accelerating progress on November 25. He triumphed in the category of innovator in higher education independence at the event held in Surabaya.

This achievement is closely linked to Nazar’s significant contributions in developing UMM into an independent university across various aspects, particularly financially. He successfully managed and developed numerous business units owned by UMM, including hospitals, three hotels, gas stations, workshops, banks, and others. This means that UMM does not fully rely on student tuition fees.

The event in question is the DetikJatim Awards, which is a form of appreciation for individuals, public figures, and business players who have made a positive impact.
