Business cards are one of the most important things for people, especially those involved in business. Unfortunately, conventional business cards are pretty complicated to carry, must be printed repeatedly, and usually end up being thrown away. Therefore, a team of students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) created an innovation called Tapfirst Digital Smart NFC Card. Interestingly, this innovation has successfully passed the funding stage of Program Pembinaan Mahasiswa Wirausaha (P2MW) (trans: the Entrepreneurial Student Development Program) from the Ministry of Education and Culture-Ristek RI.
Team leader Ghalib Baharuddin explained that Tapfrist makes it easier for customers because they don't need to carry a stack of business cards. They only need to take one card. "Once purchased, customers will get a card that supports the NFC feature. They also get a landing page that contains business cards. It is on the tapfirst.id website," he said.

Ghalib, as he is often called, says that conventional business cards have many disadvantages. For example, they have to be carried around in large quantities, and it is difficult to change the data that has been written. Conventional business cards also make it difficult to transfer written data to a cellphone.
"Entering numbers from cards to smartphones is often complicated. But that doesn't happen when using our product, Tapfirst. With NFC technology, we can easily tap on our smartphones. It then brings us to a website that displays data, such as cellphone number, company where we work, email, and others," said the student from Yogyakarta.
Customers who want to change the data or design can easily customize it on the tapfirst.id website. Ghalib said changing the data in his product is as easy as changing a profile picture or status on social media.
The innovation successfully entered the P2MW growth category, which is a category containing student businesses that are already running. Interestingly, Ghalib has been developing Tapfirst for a long time. However, it could have been more optimal because no significant capital existed. Thanks to the support from this program, he and his team are now busy developing and adding new features. Until now, there have been more than 50 customers who have joined.

"The price of one account and one card is around Rp89,000. But we often hold discounts and promos so sometimes it can be Rp79,000 or even Rp75,000," he added.
The UMM management student was not alone in developing Tapfirst. He was accompanied by two other members, Muhammad Farrel Yusuf Reyhan from the Management study program and Miftahul Andiko Putra from the Informatics Engineering study program. They hope the product will help the community, entrepreneurs, and business people develop networks. Especially those who need a business card. (Put/Wil)
