Interested in Jodipan Colorful Village, IAIN Surakarta Visits UMM

Inspired by Colorful Village (Kampung Warna) initiated by a group of students of Communication Sciences University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) Guyspro, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Surakarta brought students, especially Communication Studies program visited UMM.

 

Located at Auditorium Masjid AR Fachruddin UMM, Monday (13/11), the visit is aimed to get IAIN Surakarta students to get Public Relations (PR) knowledge . "We want to share and gain knowledge from Communication UMM, whose students have created Jodipan Colorful Village," said Ahmad Qoyim, a lecturer of PR IAIN Surakarta.

 

The material was delivered by the head of UMM Communication Science Laboratory, Jamroji MComm. In front of approximately 100 students of IAIN Surakarta, Jamroji stated that the work area of ​​students of Communication Science will be in the field of creativity. Thus, in creating creativity and good ideas, students are required based on research.

 

"The data must be real and the client must also be real. Thus, they are looking for themselves," said Jamroji.

 

One of the means of learning UMM communication program is Communication Science Laboratory (Ikom Lab). There are some Labs namely PR Simulation Labs, Photography Labs, Theater Mini Labs, Mini Lab Labs, Graphical Labs, Master Control Room (MCR) Labs, Recording and Editing Labs. The students of Science Communication are facilitated practicing theory through the lab.

 

Divided into three major concentrations namely Public Relations, Audio Visual and Journalism, Jamroji created a fun and 'different' lab atmosphere for students. "Communications Science Laboratory is a miniature world of work. The miniature Ikom must be creative," he said while playing a video profile of the colorful atmosphere of the Ikom Lab.

 

For Jamroji, the atmosphere built in UMM's Ikom Lab has been able to produce outstanding works. One of them is Jodipan Colorful Village. (ard)
