University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) continues to encourage its students to develop every potential they have. One of them is in the business aspect. Thanks to this encouragement, the student team of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UMM designed a digital-based creative business plan. Interestingly, the idea initiated by M. Rifqi Fakhar, Dewi Fajar Sari, and Fikrie Syaiful Huda managed to win 3rd place in the business plan competition held by the University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). The event, which has an online format, has been held since June, and the winner was announced on Monday (5/7).
Rifqi, a member of the Lucid Dream team, explained that this idea started from the problem of the monotony of online learning in the middle of a pandemic. The effect of increasing the level of boredom experienced by students. Until finally, the team members decided to plan a business that would countest. “We try to provide a solution by designing a platform that helps teachers be more creative in making learning materials. This platform is modern because it is digital-based,” he explained.

He added that the business plan was designed as a creative media business model with a website platform. They call it by the name Creatidu.com. Creatidu is intended to offer paid creation and collaboration services to learn media during the pandemic is more creative and innovative. The hope is that students will not feel bored during class hours. The digital system also provides convenience for teachers because they can create or order the desired content without face-to-face interaction.
Asked about the obstacles, Rifqi admitted that his team encountered several obstacles. One of the most important is the state of the pandemic. Often when they discuss online, the signal is lost several times. And this makes the discussion process run smoothly. “Especially when we have to consult with lecturers, the signal is often lost several times. Even so, we are happy because we are still able to give 3rd place in the business plan competition,” he said.

Despite having won the competition, Rifqi admitted that his team did not feel confident. On the contrary, the three want to return to providing interesting innovations to offer various solutions to the community. He also hopes that the business plan that has been designed can be appropriately realized. Until later, it can have a positive impact on the world of education. "We also want to give a message to other students that the pandemic condition is not an obstacle to keep being creative and achieving," he concluded. (haq/wil)
