UMM Robotics Team Competes in Turkish UAV Competition

The group who are also members of the UMM Robotics LSO will compete with foreign teams in the Teknofest 2021 event in Bursa, Turkey, on Saturday (11/9). This competition was organized by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).

Muhammad Noer Jayadin as the team leader, said that they had to go through two tight selection rounds before finally being able to advance and leave for Turkey. The first round is the collection of conceptual designs, which began last February. After being declared eligible and passed, he and his team were required to draw up a detailed plan before finally being selected and leaving for Turkey.


There are three categories in this competition. We are starting from rotary wings, unmanaged aerial vehicles (UAV), and V-Tol. The team will participate in the UAV category on September 13-19.

During the preparation, Jaya and his team faced various obstacles. One plane crashed and crashed, while the other had a battery leak. His team did not give up and managed to create a safe and ready-to-fly plane.

As a developer, Khusnul Hidayat, S.T., M.T justified her student faces the obstacles. . "However, thanks to hard work together, we finally managed to fly the aircraft assembly during the trial period," she said.


Khusnul hoped that the UMM electrical study program team could arrive safely and not experience any problems. "Our main target is to be able to complete the mission completely. Even if we can win the competition, it will be a great bonus for us," she concluded. (wil)
