The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) once again carves out achievements. On this occasion, the White Campus successfully won various awards in the Anugerah Kampus Unggulan (AKU) on September 5th at Grand Mercure Malang. The award was given by the Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi (LLDIKTI) Region VII East Java, which consists of various categories.
Interestingly, UMM was awarded four awards directly. Including the best reporting quality, outstanding universities for student affairs, implementation of sistem penjaminan mutu internal (SPMI), and independent cluster research and community service performance.

Furthermore, there were also three UMM lecturers who received the academic leader award. They are Dr. Sugiarti, M.Si. in arts and culture, Prof. Dr. Tobroni, M.Si. in education, and Prof. Ir. Ilyas Masudin, MLogSCM., Ph.D. in technology.
Chief of Public Relations of UMM, Dr. Isnaini, M.Pd. said that these various awards achieved by the White Campus are a real commitment to advancing education. In addition, it is also proof of the consistency of the UMM academic community in maintaining educational services. Moreover, considering that this is not the first time UMM has been awarded a superior campus from LLDIKTI Region VII every year.
“Maintaining educational services at UMM is a mandatory requirement, and that can be proven from the awards we have achieved. It's not the first time we've received it, we get it almost every year,” he said.
According to him, this achievement will be maintained and continuously improved. Considering that the needs of the community are also very dynamic at any time. It is a challenge for universities to continue to improve innovation and superior-quality products.
Meanwhile, Head of the General Section of LLDIKTI Region VII, Dr. dr. Ivan Rafian, M.KP, said that the award of the superior campus is intended to create enthusiasm for universities, both public and private, in East Java. The spirit is to improve the quality of education that is superior. Especially in preparation for welcoming the Golden Indonesia in 2045.

In addition, he also encouraged the university leaders to collaborate with each other for the advancement of education. Furthermore, the global challenges are very dynamic and will be difficult if faced alone. He hopes that this award will be a motivation for all campuses, especially those in East Java, to continue to improve quality.
