Hundreds of students of Kindergarten (TK) and Elementary School (SD) in Malang, East Java performanced their skill in National Children's Work Appreciation event in University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) AR Fachruddin mosque on Thursday (15/6). They performed an appreciation in the field of art drawing, speaking, and religion
"This event is not only intended to celebrate Ramadan 1438 Hijriyah, but also to educate participants about the importance of harmonious life in the midst of diversity," explained by the coordinator, Jamroji MComm when he was interviewed on the sidelines of the event.
So, lecturer of this Communication Studies program said that the themes of each contest were directed to be able to give moral value, harmonious life among fellow creatures of God.
The event was part of event series of Gema Ramadhan 1438 Hijriyah. UMM divided into 6 stem contests. They were Coloring Competition for kindergarten and elementary school class III, Calligraphy Competition, Islamic Poetry Competition, Election Contest Dai Cilik (Pildacil), Storytelling Contest, and Tartil Competition were intended for elementary school students. It would be taken 3 champions with rewards of trophies and coaching money for each contest.
On storytelling competition, the committee gave freedom to explore its potential for each participant. For example, participants from SD Plus Qurrota A'yun Malang, Mariella Nafisah used media to support her performance. Inevitably, Mariella's performance madea standing ovation from the audience and other participants.
Furthermore, through "Merajut Harmoni dalam Prestasi Anak Negeri" theme, the chief executor of Gema Ramadhan 1438 Hijriyah, Ahmad Fatoni Lc MAg hoped these activities could instill a soleh and solehah character to the participants.(Ard)
