UMM was Back To Be Trusted As a Guide College

University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) once again got the trust as the executor of the Higher Education program (PT) - Asuh. This mandate was in accordance with the Decree of the Director General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia No. 74 / B / HK / 2019 concerning the Quality Assurance Program Implementing College.

This mandate was accepted on the agenda for signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in order to PT Asuh's need assessment, Workshop of Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), External Quality Assurance System (SPME), and University Governance which held on Monday (29/4).

Head of the Asuh Program PT Unggul Dr. Ainur Rofieq, M.Kes explained, this program was a third-year program. This referred to the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 131 of 2015 related to the guidance of PT Unggul to conduct guidance for PT classified as Clusters 3 and 4 and located in disadvantaged areas.

Besides UMM, there were at least 20 selected universities from 85 PTN and PTS in Indonesia that got the BAN-PT score with the title A. "This program is to build a quality culture through mentoring in building, institutionalizing a continuous quality assurance system," said Rofieq.

"This is the third time UMM has been trusted in the implementation of the MoU Socialization MoU, and Need Assessment Program Asuh PT Unggul. There were ten universities assisted by UMM which was University of Technology Surabaya, Stikes Artha Bodhi Iswara, University of Widyagama Malang, STIE Muhammadiyah Tuban, Stikes Maharani Malang, STIE NU Trate Gresik, Stikes Muh. Bojonegoro, STT Industri Turen Malang, Akper Nazhatut Thullab Sampang and the University of Madura.

"Improving the quality of education is not a product which formed at a glance, it requires a process. For this year, we hope we can complement each other even though institutionally we have been accredited A first. The quality cannot be carried out alone, so we need cooperation and support each other, "concluded Syamsul. (Win)
