The Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program shares the vision and mission of making students embody the Pancasila student profile. One of the key points is that PPG aims to make the teaching profession more dignified, to make teachers leaders in learning, and to foster a spirit of collaboration, creating a learning ecosystem for teachers and education personnel that strengthens each other.

This was conveyed by Ferry Maulana Putra, S.Pd., M.Ed., the Coordinator of POKJA PPG Prajabatan GTK Kemendikbud Ristek, at a national seminar at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) on May 21. Additionally, the event served as an exhibition of innovative learning projects by PPG Prajabatan UMM students. Various creative teaching aids were showcased, highlighting interesting teaching tools.

"Quality teacher candidates are needed to face the era of Industry 5.0. Graduates must be able to contribute to technological advancements, to society, to physical and mental well-being, and to use new technology for new things in our ecosystem," explained Ferry.

Ferry urged universities to prepare adaptive and flexible PPG Prajabatan graduates to face changes, be it changes related to curriculum, changing times, technological developments, and so on. "Wherever we serve, wherever we choose to work, we must ensure that we serve well and want to become teachers who fulfill their calling," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of International Relations and Cooperation at PP Muhammadiyah, Prof. Dr. Syafiq A. Mughini, MA, stated that it takes a long time to see whether the education system is successful or not. Therefore, if we implement education with the current system, the results will be visible in 10-20 years. According to him, it is impossible to become a developed nation without good education. Thus, the role of teachers becomes very important.

"Perform your duties well and with full dedication, then it will yield positive results for our children. Hopefully, with the achieved teaching profession and high dedication, Insyaallah it will be a provision for us to attain paradise in the hereafter," he said.

On the other hand, the Dean of FKIP UMM, Prof. Dr. Trisakti Handayani, M.M., reminded of the practical function of Pancasila, which is to strengthen national unity and cohesion. Especially considering that Indonesia is a diverse nation prone to division. Therefore, differences should be seen as a blessing, as in the concept of Islam.

"We must uphold the nation's ideology in the midst of the global ideological war. Communication and information technology has turned conventional warfare into modern warfare using technology, mass media, and even cyber warfare. Now, war is no longer through military strength, but through ideological, political, economic, social, and cultural influence," she concluded.  (dev/wil/fajr)
