“The closing of the English Kids Camp also marked the launch of the CoE EYL, which was attended by fourth to sixth-grade elementary school students from the UMM surrounding area. The program received positive feedback and enthusiasm from the local community, resulting in a high level of participation from elementary school students. "This is because EYL not only trains teaching methods but also prepares students in international school management and business development in the education sector," he added.

Jarum added that the CoE EYL UMM program will be held for one year or two semesters, with collaboration involving various international partners. Students participating in this program will gain experience working with institutions from abroad, such as Abikasku from Vietnam, Sapal Education from Myanmar, and international schools in Cambodia. Additionally, local partners like My Little Island School, English First (EF), and international private tutoring services will also provide support.

"This activity is also supported by the use of UMM's top-notch facilities, such as the American Corner, Language Laboratory, and other innovative learning spaces. With these facilities, students are given the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in an environment resembling international educational institutions. Furthermore, UMM continues to encourage active collaboration with the Business and Industrial World (Dudi) to provide direct job opportunities for participants," said Djarum, as he is affectionately called.

Through this program, UMM is optimistic that it can become a pioneer in the development of international-based English education in the country.

“The UMM EYL CoE program is expected to produce graduates who are ready to compete in the global workforce. Especially with innovative approaches and extensive collaboration. This is a model of English learning that is not only effective, but also oriented towards entrepreneurial development and managerial skills in the field of international education,” he concluded..
