University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was committed to improving graduate competency. One of the efforts was through competency certification tests for each prospective graduate. UMM already had a Professional Certification Institution (LSP) Intermediary 1 (P1) standardized by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).

In the 91st period I graduation ceremony of 2019 UMM, which was attended by the Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Aside from fulfilling the demands of the latest curriculum, professional certification was also a prerequisite for graduating graduates. In the future, UMM Rector Dr. Fauzan, M, Pd., Targeted each study program to have at least 5 competency test schemes in accordance with their fields. "Thus there are many schemes that prospective graduates can choose according to their interests and competencies," he hoped.

"This competency test is a commitment of UMM to strengthen professional-oriented competence. Graduation is not just a formality but a quality orientation. So that our graduates have trust in the community. Then this competency certificate becomes mandatory, "said Fauzan. (Win)
