Together with Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Singhasari (trans: the Singhasari Special Economic Zone), the University of Muhammadiyah Malang continues to develop its Center for Excellence (CoE) and Center for Future Work (CFW). Most recently, they cooperated with the Western Australian government on September 6 at KEK. The Premier of Western Australia, Hon. Roger Cook MLA, and the representatives of several ministries, such as the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, joined the discussion.
On that occasion, Roger was very enthusiastic about collaborating regarding education and digital development. Especially with the existence of the Singhasari KEK, which will bring many conveniences. "We will also focus on technology and innovation to answer various problems. Simultaneously to build a good digital economy," he said.

Roger considers that this collaborative process is starting to be established and visible. According to him, good cooperation comes from good brotherhood and friendship. Moreover, Western Australia is also very open to collaboration with its closest neighbor, Indonesia.
On the same occasion, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy representative Nia Niscaya conveyed the same thing. According to her, the KEK led by David Santoso can create hardware and software in the Singhasari KEK, along with improving professional skills that can be cooperated with the Western Australian government.
"For example, in the hospitality sector, which is currently good but lacks in entrepreneurial skills. It will be difficult for them to maintain their position. Thus, I believe that Western Australia can provide input for that improvement," she said.

"The cooperation model can be various. Starting from joint training programs, double degrees, international certification, and so on," he concluded. (Put/Wil)
