The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) held its 111th graduation period 6. UMM graduated 2,460 graduates on December 21, 2023. On that occasion, Septo Sudiro, as CEO of Mitra Aviasi Perkasa (MAP), was also present to motivate the youth to become successful people.
Septo began his speech by stating that his achievement has been a challenging thing to go through now. He had to overcome a lot of obstacles to obtain what he desired. In 1989, his father passed away, and it became the strongest motivation for him to achieve his dream. "In 1989, I inevitably had to become the breadwinner of my family and pay for my studies, the fees of my two younger siblings and my mother," he said.

However, it doesn't become a big problem for him because he always has the principle of "make it easy" to make everything he does as easy as possible for Allah. Septo wanted to be at his best, so he opened his own business in 2004. He tried to see the various opportunities available in the community and eventually created PT Mitra Aviasi Perkasa, which specializes in flight schools. In addition, he also managed to open subsidiary companies such as PT Indo Aviasi, which is engaged in private jets, pilot schools with many technicians, and so on.
Based on his experience, Septo encouraged the graduates to strive hard and never give up. "However, striving must also be followed by tawakkal to Allah and the parents' blessing. The balance between prayer, parents' encouragement, and effort is the key to a successful person," he said.
During college, the effort can be interpreted as adequately fulfilling their student obligations. It was stated by Ir. Tamhid Masyhudi as Vice Chairman of PWM East Java. He also mentioned that Muhammadiyah has made an effort to encourage education in Indonesia to become a national and state priority. This was realized with the Education Infaq Movement program, inaugurated towards Muhammadiyah's 111th Anniversary.
"This funding will support education, especially in the 3T areas. Namely, he said, " Indonesian regions with geographical, social, economic and cultural conditions that are less developed compared to other regions on a national scale," he said. (tri/wil/put)
