A crowded and boisterous voice was heard from the dome of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), September 13th afternoon. It was due to the appearance of Idgitaf, who entertained the new students at the closing of UMM's Pengenalan Studi Mahasiswa Baru (Pesmaba). She successfully made the new students of the White Campus excited with her various songs.
Idgitaf or Gita feels happy to be able to perform in front of thousands of new UMM students. She hopes that the songs she brings can motivate and encourage the freshmen to have fun in college. Thus, various dreams that you want to achieve can really be achieved.
“I keep wishing for everyone to achieve their dreams. Live happily and be able to face life's challenges with a cheerful heart,” she said.
Gita also amazed the Dome because she had invited one of the UMM students to come up to the stage. They even had a conversation and gave autographs as well as took pictures together. It made the audience and freshmen shout boisterously while enjoying the songs she performed. For example, the titles Takut, Mengudara, Mulai, and others.
One of the UMM freshmen, Davina Bilqis, assessed that UMM student orientation 2024 was very exciting. Starting from the opening ceremony, to every series of events. Including the closing ceremony, which featured Idgitaf as a guest star. According to her, UMM succeeded in making its new students excited to start college.
“I am so excited. I thought student orientation would be scary, but it turns out that at UMM, the student orientation is fun and enjoyable. UMM has made us even more prepared to face the college journey well,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Public Relations of UMM, Dr. M. Isnaini, M.Pd. said that freshmen must be greeted with a joyful event. Therefore, they can start the process of studying on campus happily. In addition, they were also introduced to various facilities, lecturers, and buildings that were available at UMM in order to avoid any confusion when they actually became students.

“In addition to providing the freshmen with useful knowledge and insights for college, we also want to remove the negative stigma that campus orientation is scary. However, student orientation is an early event that contributes to students' study progress,” said the lecturer from Lombok.
Finally, he continued that UMM always provides motivating entertainment performances at the closing ceremony of Pesmaba every year. Thus, students are happy and not depressed. Moreover, they are in a new environment and have to be adaptable. “Hopefully Pesmaba UMM can impress the freshmen and provide sufficient provisions to face the world of university,” he concluded.
