The success of maintaining A accreditation at the Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was heard up to Jakarta and Palu. This achievement made Krisnadwipayana Jakarta University and Muhammadiyah University of Palu visited UMM on Friday (10/8) to have comparative study and follow up the collaboration of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to the tri darma of higher education, teaching and learning system, research to community service.
"Actually, this visit is a follow-up to our collaboration with Krisnadwipayana University. It is involved in three points, namely the tri darma of higher education, teaching, research and community service," said Dr. Tongat, SH., M.Hum, Dean of the Faculty of Law. Tongat added, the visit of the two universities was for curriculum studies, academic activities, and laboratory management of UMM law faculties.
Meanwhile, Dr. Samsul Haling, Head of the Law Study Program at University of Muhammadiyah Palu, hopes that there will be direct examples of the curriculum and the large number of academic credits. "We heard that law faculties at UMM could be 9 credit per semester, how about that. We want to learn directly. How is the implementation, because only 3 credits have been done several times," he said.
At the end, Tongat hopes for an increase in the quality of each university through this collaboration. "Honestly, there may be shortcomings both from us and them. So, they can learn each other. They can contribute to each study program," he explained. (ard)
