Keep the Presidential Palace, the Egyptian Muster the Tank

VIVAnews - The Egyptian government lowered the tanks to keep the presidential palace in recent days be the site of clashes by protesters. Meanwhile, the opposition continues to squeeze the government to abolish the draft constitution that would strengthen the power of Mohamed Mursi.

The opposition Muslim Brotherhood accused the Mursi backing behind this violence. According to the opposition, the Muslim Brotherhood strategy to silence the protesters that used by authoritarian leader Hosni Mubarak.

In a press conference besama, Mohamed ElBaradei, Amr Moussa and the National Rescue Front leaders said Mursi must take responsibility for the violence. "Our Opinion, still as before, we are ready to dialogue if the national decree canceled, suspended the constitution and the referendum," said ElBaradei.

"Revolution is not for this. Revolution for freedom, democracy, and human dignity. Mursi should listen to the people, whose voice is clear and loud," he added.

The Egyptian government said that the draft constitution to keep voting will be conducted on Dec. 15 no matter what. However, Deputy President Mahmoud Mekki said that the door for dialogue is always open.

"I firmly believe, if in a few days we will reach a breakthrough in addressing the crisis and reach a consensus," said Mekki.
