WASHINGTON - United States (U.S.) strongly criticized a statement Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi expressed in 2010 ago, before Morsi become president . In the video, describing Israel as a Zionist Morsi and descendants of apes.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said the statement Morsi has an element of humiliation. The U.S. was concerned with the Egyptian government over comments made Morsi three years ago.

"We do not agree with this statement, it is a language that contains hate," Carney said, as quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (16/01/2013).

Speech appeared in a video released by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). Morsi who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, often voicing support to Hamas and condemned Israel. Morsi co-expressed boycott against Israeli products and the United States (U.S.).

"Negotiations useless between Israel and the Palestinians is a waste of time. Zionists will gain time and steal a great opportunity for the Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims loss," says Morsi, at MEMRI.

"No responsible party can expect the progress of this process. They (Israel) are occupiers of Palestine, they were Palestinian attackers, they are the descendants of apes and pigs," he added. (AUL)
