NTSC: Air Accident Rates Continues to Decline

VIVAnews - Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) Tatang Kurniadi, Friday, December 28, 2012, said the number of accidents in Indonesia for six years continues to decline. NTSC investigation since January 2007 - December 2012 shows the accident rate in Indonesia has decreased the positive trend seen from the rate of accident.

"If we look at the rate of accident transport accident rate has decreased our positive even if there is to be repaired" said Tatang NTSC Office Building BPSDM Jalan Merdeka Timur, Central Jakarta.

According to Tatang, during which time it has conducted an investigation NTSC much as 256 times. Although the accident rate in Indonesia is declining, there are still 120 transport safety standards that must be adhered to Indonesia.

Within six years the percentage of accidents decreased from 0.26 percent to 0.12 percent for sea transport. 4.12 percent to 1.43 percent for air transport. 0.032 percent to 0.020 percent for trains.
