Laboratory of industrial engineering as explained follows has a function as the center of practical and experimental learning used by the students and service for research and engineering consultation covering industrial product development, work design, and organization. a. Laboratory of Work System Design and Ergonomics
Work measurement practicum; giving practical learning on how to set work method and rating performance, makes process and work map, implement work measurement with stop watch method and work sampling method.
Work system design practicum gives practical learning as designing work method, work station, control panel, product, etc. in accordance with the work principle and human faal condition, designing work system, sound communication, etc. in accordance with the work principle and human faal condition.
b. Laboratory of Manufacturing System
Practicum of production planning and control; giving practical learning on how to predict demand, making aggregate and disaggregate schedule, making production master schedule, making work order letter, schedulling work, planning materials need, designing equilibrium trajectory, designing work lay out etc. in manual-tech industry.
Practicum of production system (MPR II, JIT, Project Management); giving practical learning on how the performance of every production system is, how to design the production system, and testing the reliability of the production system design in manual-tech industry.
c. Laboratory of Industrial System Simulation & Optimization
Practicum of industrial system simulation and optimization; equipping the students with ability to master software such as quantitative system, SEESIM, Vensim, SPSS, Arena, etc. in finishing various great assignments of industrial system simulation course and operation research and project management that are impossible to be done manually because of its huge number of variable.
Practicum of production system optimization and simulation; giving practical learning on how to conduct simulation experiments and if possible is to find solution from industrial problem that will be implemented by Statistics Lab. I and II, Quality control Lab., PSKE Lab., production system Lab. into industrial system, integrate quality management Lab., PSKE Lab., MRP II Lab., and management studio in a simulation of industrial system.
d. Management Studio
This laboratory is used to equip the students with ability to master simulation software used for manufacturing system control in computer, so it becomes closed to the real condition of the object.
e. Organization Studio
This laboratory is used to equip the students with ability to master simulation software and games used for organization management.
