All aspects are designed and implemented in order to achieve the vision and mission that has been formulated. All UMM academics were determined to become a leading university in Indonesia, even to penetrate international university competitions. Because various real collaborations have been carried out through exchanges of students, lecturers and staff in the Erasmus Mundus program, international exchanges and research, level transfer and double degree programs, as well as other international programs. Welcoming Indonesia Gold 2045, UMM has developed an education system based on the needs of nation building. The main focus of UMM was to develop a Center for Future of Work, namely providing qualified human resources according to future job needs. The implementation is to establish several Centers of Excellence (CoE) carried out by the Study Program in collaboration with several Industrial World Businesses (DUDI), such as the Singhasari Special Economic Zone (KEK), United States Amazon Web Services (AWS), and others. -other. In addition, the implementation of this CoE was also supported by several Business Units at UMM. Especially in KEK Singhasari, currently in the process of building Campus IV as the Center for Future of Work Campus.
There are two educational pathways at UMM, namely the regular pathway and the Center of Excellence (CoE) pathway. Students taking the CoE pathway will take the program in two semesters, namely in semester 6: students receive professional lectures from internal lecturers and practitioner lecturers from DUDI. In semester 7, students undergo an internship program at a company. The results of this internship will be converted into a Final Project, namely Field Work Practices (PKL) and a thesis called script-prenuer. This CoE program has an impact on achieving On Time Graduation, which is 3.5-4 years and provides knowledge as well as skills as a provision for graduates' independence. In addition, it also provides qualified leadership skills. Until now, UMM already has more than 40 CoEs, both those that are already running and those that are in the early stages. UMM and DUDI partners, not only produce graduates, but also try to assist alumni who are interested in becoming young entrepreneurs and start-ups through Business Internships with INTI and Plasma schemes.
The CoE program initiated, planned and implemented by UMM is a real implementation of the link and match idea between human resources produced by universities and DUDI needs. Through this program, quality human resources can be produced who are ready to work according to their scientific fields and at the same time be given extra competence in the form of digital technology capabilities. The existing CoE program is not only attended by students from the organizing study program, but can be joined by students from across study programs, across faculties, and even across universities. In the future, CoE will also be developed which can be attended by foreign students from various countries.
