Sengkaling Amusement Parks

 

Sengkaling Recreation Park is one of the business units owned by the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. In 2015, the University of Muhammadiyah Malang acquired this legendary recreational park and changed its name to Sengkaling Recreation Park UMM. Adjacent to Kapal Garden Hotel, Sengkaling Recreation Park UMM is located on Jl. Raya Mulyoagung No. 188, Dau District, Malang Regency, or about 10 km from the center of Malang City. The location is very strategic because it is right on the highway's edge that connects Malang City with Batu City, so it is straightforward to reach by private vehicles and public transportation.

Providing various playing places, Sengkaling Recreation Park UMM is a family tourism place, following the slogan of Family Dream Water Tourism, and offers multiple kinds of playing places to pamper visitors.

The total area of ​​Sengkaling is about 9 hectares and 6 hectares of which are in the form of gardens and soothing trees. Sengkaling Recreation Park is open every day, from 06.00 to 17.00 WIB. It is intended to provide flexibility for people who will do recreation and relax with their families.

Initially, Sengkaling Recreation Park UMM was established by a Dutch citizen named Mr. Coolman in 1950 and was managed by Mochtar, a resident of Padang. When managed by Mochtar, Sengkaling was permanently closed on Fridays. In 1975, the management of Sengkaling Recreation Park was taken over by PT. Bentoel Group and managed by PT. Bentoel Park is a subsidiary of the Bentoel Group engaged in tourism services. Since becoming the property of UMM, Sengkaling Recreation Park has undergone many renovations. One of them is the addition of a waterpark, one of the favorite spots for visitors to spend time with family.

Sengkaling Recreation Park UMM has a total land area of ​​9 hectares, divided into 6 hectares which are still in the form of gardens and shady green trees. This tourist spot has various facilities with advantages compared to other tourist attractions. One of them is water tourism, which comes from natural mountain sources. One of the existing sources, namely the Tirta Alam Pool, is believed to be able to make people stay young.
