The duck boats of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) caught the attention of the examinees' parents. Many stood in a queue and wanted to feel the sensation of 'tourism' in the middle of the White Campus — the alias of UMM. The computer written-based exam held on May 4-6 specialized for new prospective UMM pharmacy and medical students.
One of the examinees' parents, Fahrudin Asjhar, feels that UMM is a cool and delightful place to study. Mainly, it provides a unique facility, like the duck boat. He thinks it adds to particular enjoyment to be at the White Campus.
"Especially these ducks always go viral on Instagram or TikTok. They appear many times on my social media timeline. This unique facility can help students be more productive. For example, when they're stuck on an assignment, they can occasionally use this facility to unwind," he added.

The man known as Fahrudin considers UMM a pleasant campus, as far as he feels. Besides the duck boats, students and their parents can also get on the golf carts to stroll around the university.
"Notably, UMM is large by area. With these golf carts, they certainly make it easier for us to go to desired spots," he added.
Fahrudin believes that UMM is the exact choice to send his child to college due to its facilities, accreditation, and lecturers' quality. Additionally, UMM, awarded the world's best Islamic campus, often receives prestigious accolades.
Meanwhile, an interesting thing was expressed by one of the exam participants of the Faculty of Medicine, Faliya Fatmah Azzahra Arifin. She believes that UMM can improve her self-quality. Besides, it can lead her to be a helpful doctor.
"I put my choice on the School of Medicine of UMM. In addition to its relatively affordable tuition fees, its facilities are also adequate. The medical professional network is excellent and supports my career after graduation," she said.
Last but not least, Faliya advises high school graduates not to hesitate to enroll at private universities. She thinks that there are no significant differences between state and private universities. We only need to see which is the most suitable and can lead students to success. (imh/faq/wil)
