Deep Condolences from UMM: Refunding All Tuition Fees for Its Passing Student

There was something different about the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) graduation on August 24. When closing the graduation procession, the UMM Rector, Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., invited graduates, parents, and guests to pray for Roy Inzaqhi Saputra. He was one of the students who should have also graduated, but he died a few moments before the graduation due to illness.

"Let's pray together for anada Roy. We hope that he will be placed in the best place by His-side. As a form of UMM's condolences to the student, we will return all fees that have been paid while studying at UMM to his parents," said Fauzan shortly before closing the procession.

Roy's parents were also invited on stage to receive the diploma. The Chancellor of the White Campus gave it to him directly, accompanied by the vice-chancellors. Roy is an outstanding student. He even graduated without a thesis due to his research that reached the Sinta I journal. It made him not have to take a thesis because of the equivalency program.

In 2019, Roy became the first year as a student of the Informatics Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering. He is known for his friendliness to all his friends, especially with his activity in participating in organizations while studying. Nevertheless, he successfully achieved a GPA of 3.93. That is a challenging achievement for most engineering students.

His research also managed to enter indexed journals. His research was entitled "Evaluation of the Usability of Learning Management System during the Covid-19 Pandemic Using the Scale System". It is proof of the results of perseverance and strong determination in undergoing the process during the lecture process to become the pride of both parents.

Until the end of his life, he had a special place in the hearts of his friends, lecturers, and parents. Although he is gone, he has successfully earned a computer science degree and can spread benefits through his research and kindness. (Put/Faq/Wil)
