Indonesian people were excited by the Coldplay band. The legendary UK band officially announced its premiere concert in Indonesia in November. Unwilling to miss the moment, various age groups flocked to buy tickets regardless of price.

Considering this situation, Novita Ratna Satiti, SE, MM, a lecturer in the Management Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), commented. According to her, it is okay to spoil yourself after achieving essential goals in life. However, before deciding to spend millions on concert tickets, several financial considerations and personal financial management need to be considered.

"It is important to review the existing budget, so as not to disturb the financial balance for daily needs. If the basic needs and future savings are considered safe, then it is okay to buy concert tickets as a form of self-appreciation," said Novita.

Novita also emphasized always considering the number of funds spent. If individuals think going to a concert is essential and a memorable experience, it's okay, especially if they consider it a valuable emotional investment.

"It is important to note that each individual has different preferences, priorities and sources of value. For some people, going to a concert worth millions may provide emotional benefits and self-gratification. What matters most is that each individual makes decisions that are in line with their values and desires," explains Novita.

However, she reminds us of the importance of priorities and our financial situation before buying concert tickets. Purchase tickets for millions will be terrible if it hinders economic progress and plans. Both for the short and long term. Especially if it makes finances unstable.

According to her, self-appreciation does not always involve spending large amounts of money. Other alternatives can be tried, namely choosing local and national bands whose prices are not so high. Some do not need to spend a penny.

"Consider your financial condition when you want to spend. Especially for self-appreciation. There needs to be an adjustment of budget and needs," she concluded. (Put/Aul)
