The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) exhibited two classes of expertise, namely the Center of Excellence (CoE) Metaverse and CoE Koi. These two things attract the enthusiasm of visitors, there is even a line that tries what it's like to enter the world of the metaverse. This event is an educational exhibition of Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) which was held by the Ministry of Education and Culture on November 9-10.
Companion student, Nuril explained that the metaverse is a virtual world of infinite, interconnected communities. This technology is a combination of several technological elements such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and video. In the world of Metaverse, humans can meet and even interact like in the real world. It is even predicted that in the future it will be able to give birth to big changes in the world, starting from the education system, government, and even the world of tourism.
She also said that her team had designed a future city in UMM Metaverse. They also give visitors the opportunity to try using the Oculus Rift, a headband display device to display virtual reality. "We provide two oculus tools that allow participants to experience what it's like to live in an artificial world".

This was agreed by Lina, one of the students who also visited. He admitted that he was enthusiastic about being at the UMM stand. Not only presenting things related to technology, but also entrepreneurship through koi fish farming. Starting from checking the water, how to treat it to how to market it.
“These two UMM CoEs are very interesting. One focuses on technology and the world of the future, while the other focuses on economic development through Koi. I will try to register and be a part of this excellent school. Moreover, there are more than 40 CoE available”.

Not only UMM, there were also dozens of MBKM's partners from the Industrial World Business World (DUDI) as well as several selected universities. This exhibition aims to introduce MBKM to the public as well as fifth semester students who will register to participate in MBKM in various sectors.
The head of the UMM exhibition team, Rahmawati Khadijah Maro, M.P.Ed. said that White Campus wanted to introduce CoE to the public, DUDI, and students. The number of excellent schools is felt to make it easier for young people to choose according to their passions and interests.
“This program has proven to be able to equip students so that they can be absorbed into the world of work quickly. Moreover, the material is in accordance with what is needed by the community and industry so that it launches the process for them to get a job,” concluded Rahma. (cdr/fat/wil)
