Furthermore, Uci also discussed innovation that is relevant to market needs and the mastery of digital literacy. According to her, these are the key pillars in supporting the growth of SMEs in the modern era. “SMEs must be able to leverage technology to develop their businesses. This includes innovation that aligns with market needs and the mastery of digital literacy. By doing so, the growth of SMEs in the modern era will be more massive,” she stated.
She also assessed that the role of the academic world is crucial in providing guidance and training to help SMEs effectively utilize technology. Similarly, the government must also play a role by preparing relevant programs to support the growth of SMEs.
The theme presented reflects both the challenges and opportunities faced by SMEs in the digital era. The transformation, which focuses on innovation, digital literacy, and visionary leadership, is seen as a solution to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in the global market. FEB UMM hopes that this event will provide a comprehensive guide for business practitioners in overcoming various obstacles and optimally utilizing technology.
Dr. Titiek Ambarwati, MM. emphasizes the importance of mindset changes among business owners as a key to successful transformation. The willingness to take risks and the commitment to continuous learning are essential elements in adapting to changes. Small and medium-sized business owners must be ready to face challenges and view every problem as an opportunity for growth. "Innovation and programs alone are not enough, but they must also be capable of managing and creating competent human resources to support sustainable innovation," she stressed.
In addition, leadership is also a key factor that can accelerate the growth of SMEs. This was emphasized by Althaf Guhar El Naqvi, MM. According to him, SME leaders must have a clear vision and the ability to inspire their teams. Strong leadership will be crucial in facing future challenges.
"The younger generation needs to be equipped with education that encourages creativity, enabling them to become innovative business actors. Without creativity and courage, it will be difficult for SMEs to survive in this digital era," he emphasized.
