A special guest was invited to the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) graduation held 0n May 25, 2023, who serves as the Director of PT. OS Selnajaya Indonesia, Satoshi Miyajima. During the ongoing graduation, he shared tips with UMM graduates on how to deal with the professional world. Also, Satoshi appreciates the White Campus — the alias of UMM — which has collaborated with his team, specifically regarding human resources.
Satoshi explains that UMM and his company have run a workshop design that can generate excellent human resources with international qualifications. The collaboration between both parties has continued to go on since 2020 and then sent more than 200 alumni to work in Japan. Also, PT. OS Selnajaya has fully trusted UMM to prepare a workforce that aligns with employment needs at the global level, including in the Land of Sakura.

OS Selanajaya is a company engaged in human resources with superior capabilities. The company, established in 1995, is also one of the international Outsourcing Inc. groups based in Tokyo so that it can enable Indonesian human resources to get a job vacancy in Japan.
Furthermore, he shared several valuable tips for UMM graduates. The first tip is to have high goal-oriented dreams and conquer the fear of challenge and failure since two things often hinder people from improving and make them stagnant.
"Don't forget to work hard and smart with a lot of patience. You must respect your time and the people around you. If you can carry out all these tips, I believe you will succeed," he said.

The Japanese man also shared his experience as a student. He used to have dreams of running a business and developing it to a global level. Satoshi kept that goal and worked toward it until he could make it today.
"Having a high imagination or a dream shouldn't be feared by students or graduates. Many successful people started with a dream that was pursued earnestly," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UMM, Dr. Fauzan, M. Pd., explains that UMM is firmly committed to preparing and equipping superior human resources to fulfill global needs, especially those related to business and industry. One of the ways is to collaborate and coordinate with either a national or international company to become a learning platform to prepare students to face the professional world.
"All of those activities are accommodated in UMM's innovation program, the Center of Excellence (CoE). Therefore, alumni will find it easier to get employed or to open own business independently," added the Rector.
Until now, the CoE program has opened 54 professional classes that UMM students can enroll in and even for those who are different from their majors. For example, an English language education student can participate in the Poultry Class of CoE.
"UMM is also optimistic that it can get recognition from UNESCO due to various breakthroughs and contributions in various fields. Mainly related to the Sustainable Development Goals. It certainly expands our network and makes us easy to prepare alumni broader opportunities," ended Fauzan. (imh/faq/wil)
