This UMM Lecturer Successfully Wins Praised Public Performance Award

Not only the students who successively make the name of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) proud in the national and international arena. Academicians also always make achievements for achievements. One of them is Dr. mokh. Najih, S.H., M. Hum. This UMM Law Lecturer was successfully crowned as a lecturer with commendable public performance. The award was given by the Region VII Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) on Wednesday (18/8) through a Zoom meeting.

Asked about this achievement, he said that it resulted from a long journey of struggle and dedication. He said that his long journey began when he became a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, UMM, in 1989. Thanks to his performance, hard work, and achievements, he started serving in several institutions both on and off-campus.

"My career has been quite long. Before becoming the Head of Study Program, I served as the head of the law laboratory, the department head, until the vice dean in 1999. Finally, I also became the head of the Master of Law Study Program (MIH) UMM from 2015-2020, "explained the man born in Lamongan.

Always struggling to spread the benefits, Najih, his nickname, is now being entrusted with the Chairman of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (RI). He revealed that what must pass various selections. Starting from professional tests, academic abilities, the interview process to medical tests. According to him, this position also supports him to be awarded this award from LLDIKTI.

Najih continued, his election as a lecturer with commendable public performance could not be separated from his success and activeness in the realm of public service. It is proven by the mandate he carries as Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman. "Working in this institution makes me often in direct contact with the public. Especially in terms of monitoring public services in Indonesia," said Najih.

At the end of the interview, Najih again hoped that his achievements could have a positive impact. Not only for himself but also for other lecturers to be more active in serving and spreading kindness.
