DPPM Gives the Best 10 KKN Groups Award

DIRECTORATE of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of Muhammadyah University gives award to the best 10 community service groups of odd semester 2015/2016. It was held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at General Lecture given by the Chief of National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN), Dr. Surya Chandra Surapaty, M.PH, Ph.D, at Theater of UMM Dome.

The best 10 community service groups are; (1) 3rd group of Ngiliran Village Magetan, (2) 20th group of Pacitan, (3) 22nd group of Mojo Village Lumajang, (4) 27th group of Umbul Damar Village Blitar, (5) 38th group of Mulyorejo Village Lawang, (6) 40th group of Slamperejo Village Jabung, (7) 42nd group of Siderojo Village Jabung, (8) 91st group of Balearjo Village Pagelaran, (9) 103rd group of Plaosan Village Wonosari, and (10) 115th group of Sukomulyo Village Pujon.

“Actually, all of the 130 community service groups are great, nothing trivial problems arose. However, these 10 groups are the best,” said Ir. Amir Syarifuddin, MP, the Chief of Public Service Division and Real Work Courses.

These best 10 groups are then awarded in three different nominations as follows: regural nomination, illiteracy eradication (PBA), and tourism. “We have three best groups for the regular nomination and four groups as the contenders. PBA category has one best group and a contender, and tourism category only has one group,” said Amir.

The election of these groups came from the suggestions of guide lecturers (DPL) and evaluation team of DPPM during the KKN. He said that “their programs are definitely great which can invite the Governor to come, the programs are also covered in media. Those groups, in our opinion, succeed in developing the village where they resided during the KKN.”

 

 

 

   

He expects that in the next periode of KKN, there will be more groups which succeeds in doing their KKN program as this odd semester 2015/2016 periode of KKN.

Rival Nurriski, one of the 22nd group members, said that he is pleased with the achievement that his group achieved. “Alhamdulillah we can be number one. Our hardwork during a-month-KKN is really paid,” he said.

Aside from the 10 best groups, there were 20 students which joined the special KKN programmed by Ministry of Research and Technology DIKTI also participating in this event. (zul/han/_rfd)
