The academic community of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) has once again achieved international recognition. Four outstanding students from UMM’s Mechanical Engineering Study Program have successfully passed the highly competitive selection process for the Formosa TIP Scholarship Fast-Track Program (Talent Internship Program) at National Formosa University (NFU), Taiwan. This prestigious program offers only 15 scholarship slots for students from 18 NFU partner universities across Asia, and UMM’s Mechanical Engineering students managed to secure their place among the selected few.

The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Ir. Iis Siti Aisyah, ST, MT, Ph.D., explained that the Fast-Track Program offers final-year Mechanical Engineering students the opportunity to spend a semester studying in Taiwan. During the program, students take three courses and work on research projects under the guidance of NFU professors. The results of these projects will later be converted into their thesis at UMM. Upon completing the program, students will receive a bachelor's degree from UMM and have the opportunity to continue their master's studies at NFU with a full scholarship.

Meanwhile, UMM Vice Rector IV, Muhamad Salis Yuniardi, M.Psi, Ph.D., provided encouragement and guidance to the students before their departure. He emphasized that this opportunity is not only about academics but also about building a broad network, which can open doors to even more opportunities in the future.

"Expand your social circle while maintaining your boundaries. Stay disciplined, uphold integrity, and, most importantly, remain devoted in worship, including prayer. Show that UMM students excel not only in academics but also in character and morals," he advised.
