UMM Physiotherapy Holds Exchange Student Event with Foreign Students

The auditorium at Campus I of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang seemed different in early July. The flags of various countries were there to catch the eye. It cannot be separated from the 2nd International Night Collaboration 2024 event held by the UMM Physiotherapy Study Program. Students from various countries were present to enliven and participate.

The agenda was directly opened by the secretary of the department, Ali Multazam, S.Ft., Physio., M.Sc. He said that the event was the second time to be held, which became the final series of international student exchange activities. Interestingly, since this year's theme was Indonesian traditional culture, the students who attended also wore traditional clothes from Indonesia and their countries.

The event was enlivened with various dance performances. In addition to Indonesia, there are also various other countries. This is a method for UMM to give a good impression to students from various countries. Some students came from Pakistan, Thailand, European countries, Africa, and even the Middle East.

The excitement was also felt by Jidipa Mettajetowimut and Kanokwan Ang-inarasong, exchange students from Mahidol University, Thailand. According to them, there are various interesting things during their stay in Indonesia, especially on the UMM campus. Even though they are in the same region, which is Southeast Asia, it turns out that there are some differences that make them have to learn again.

“I am very grateful to be able to come here. The people are friendly, including the students and lecturers. Moreover, the buddies are also very helpful when we need help. We also learned a lot about physiotherapy and tools that may be different compared to Thailand.
